Over a decade in the making, the festive slasher movie Thanksgiving by filmmaker Eli Roth and screenwriter and producer Jeff Rendell is finally in theaters in time for its eponymous holiday. Originally teased with a gag teaser trailer as part of the Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez 2007 double feature Grindhouse, Thanksgiving is a gory thrill ride that revisits and expands upon this initial premise with effective aplomb. Though the movie doesn't compromise on its gruesome potential, Thanksgiving is one of Roth's most fun and accessible movies to date, crowd-pleasing for fans of the genre.
