Dungeons & Dragons is a tabletop RPG, or TTRPG, whose monsters come in a fantastic variety of shapes and forms. The game has mega-boss monsters like colorful dragons to threaten a high-level party, and other obvious threats like liches, demons, and vampires also stand out as cool creatures to fight. D&D has more than epic monsters to threaten the party with, though, and the best DMs will mix things up with subtler, sneakier monsters as well. In fact, some monsters won't telegraph their presence until the last possible moment.
