Author Details
Alabama-born and Nashville-based, Anna Cate Jones is an aspiring screenwriter who learned her passion for the world of film from all the movies she grew up watching, and who has been scribbling tales ever since she could hold a pen. She loves all things Greta Gerwig and Sofia Coppola, and wears frequent comparisons to Jo March like a badge of honor. Currently, she's studying Film and TV Writing at Belmont University, and is beyond overjoyed to channel her passion for movies into her work with CBR. When she's not working on her newest article, she can usually be found blasting a Taylor Swift vinyl while writing a screenplay or playing whatever video game has most recently captured her attention.
Industry Focus
Anna Cate joined CBR in May 2023 as a Movies/TV Features Writer, which is still her primary focus, though she's branching out into lists. She adores the analytical nature of her work, and watches every new film with the sole intention of finding some tiny detail to exploit into a work of art.
Favorite Media
Anna Cate loves all things Star Wars - whether that's the movies (particularly Return of the Jedi), the video games (especially Fallen Order and Survivor), and the canon novel series, which she's currently reading the entirety of in timeline order. Other than that, she enjoys Lord of the Rings, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, The Mummy, Indiana Jones, and nearly every coming-of-age movie she's seen.
