The complex and intricate world of The Lord of the Rings features characters of different statuses and with different morals. The conflict that took place in Middle-earth brought out the best in some characters. Aragorn, Gandalf and the rest of the Fellowship took it upon themselves to defend all that was good, refusing to hand over land, homes and the lives of good beings just because one force of evil wanted to be in as much control as possible.
