Sterling Ulrich is a summa cum laude graduate of Aquinas College with a Bachelor of Arts in English with a Literature Emphasis. He has in-depth academic and pop-cultural knowledge of J. R. R. Tolkien's legendarium. His immersion in the world of The Lord of the Rings began in childhood; he grew up reading the books and watching Peter Jackson’s film adaptations countless times, and he was fascinated by every Middle-earth game, toy, and collectible he could find. In college, this love evolved into academic study when he took a class focused on The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and The Silmarillion. In addition to The Lord of the Rings, he is engrossed in many other facets of nerd culture, including video games, comic books, movies, and TV shows.
