Brittany Frederick was awarded the highest arts distinction in the state of California for creative writing at the age of 15, and began her journalism career by auditioning for ESPN months later. She is renowned for her unique interviews and unparalleled critical analysis. Brittany is a screenwriter, actor and holder of two degrees in Communications and Administration of Justice, the latter of which she utilizes as an expert on true crime and crime dramas including The First 48, Line of Duty, Mindhunter and One Chicago. Brittany has been an entertainment and sports journalist for nearly 25 years, joining CBR in 2022. Her interviews and critical analyses have been called the best articles ever published by other outlets, with Emmy winner Richard Schiff naming her "my favorite interviewer." In addition to her awards, she has been quoted by actors, showrunners, Variety, Rolling Stone, EW.com, CNN, CBS, and NBC. She created the first fan blog for NBC's The Voice and first media website dedicated to NBC's One Chicago franchise. She also has real-world experience in many of the fields she writes about, including acting, writing, directing, criminal law and criminology.

Brittany's wide range of interest spans from Aaron Sorkin shows to the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. Jonathan Groff is her hero and she was honored to follow after him by portraying her version of Holden Ford from Mindhunter. She's also sung karaoke with Adam Levine. gone 200 MPH at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with Mario Andretti and helped to set two Guinness World Records. In her spare time she is passionate about Broadway theatre and an aspiring Tulsa Homicide detective. She is an honorary member of Team Adam from The Voice and Section 20 from Strike Back, and is proud to have accomplished everything in her career with cerebral palsy.
