Despite the fact that one of the most famous Christmas stories of all-time, Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, is a ghost story, the Victorian tradition of telling scary ghost stories at Christmastime has gone out of style (making the line, "There'll be scary ghost stories" seem really out of place in Andy Williams' "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year"), but Dark Horse Comics is bringing that tradition back this year with its new graphic novel, Four Gathered on Christmas Eve. Four comic book superstars (Eric Powell, Becky Cloonan, Mike Mignola, and James Harren) come together to tell scary stories for the holidays with a framing sequence by Powell that needs to be seen to be believed.
