Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is the one series that can best solve the riddle of who, or what, the Rigellians are, and where they come from.

Often referred to, but seldom seen, the Rigellians may be the most confusing race in the entire Star Trek franchise, though references to the species date all the way back to The Original Series
Rigellian seems to be an all-purpose Star Trek name, like Denebian. However, the prequel series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds can finally confirm the truth about the Rigellians.
The Rigel system may be host to multiple races – including humans – across multiple planets, which the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise needs to explore in greater depth.
