Mayor Lewis' missing shorts might seem like a simple side-quest, but Stardew Valley actually hides a lot of different uses for the unique quest item.

In the third week of summer, Stardew Valley players receive a quest to find Major Lewis' purple lucky shorts, which he seems to have mysteriously missed.
The shorts can be found in Marnie's Ranch, and players can get them back to the Major for a 750 gold reward and friendship points. However, there are several other secrets and far more entertaining uses for Major Lewis' shorts.
Players can give the shorts to Major Lewis on Ginger Island so he keeps using them in this location, showcase them in the Stardew Valley Fair to embarrass him, add them to the pot during the Luau, or even wear them themselves after adapting them on a sewing machine.
